Background

In addition to being licensed by the State of Florida, Marci is a Nationally Certified Counselor.

She received her Bachelor's Degree in General Speech from Kent State University. Her graduate work was completed at Troy University where she received a Master's Degree in Counseling and Psychology. Marci is also a Certified Life Coach, having received training from Grow Institute, San Diego, California.

With more than thirty years in the field of communications, Marci brings tremendous life experience to the field of counseling.
She is a former TV news anchorwoman, reporter, producer, and writer for ABC and NBC network affiliates in New York and Ohio. Marci served as an on-air health product specialist for the country's first cable TV all-health network, AMERICA'S HEALTH NETWORK, based out of Universal Studios, Orlando. She is also a corporate spokesperson, on-camera/voice-over commercial actress and small business owner.
Marci is a Certified Canine Massage Therapist and since childhood has had a passion for animals that continues to impact her career.

She became involved in animal education in the early 80's, producing weekly television news segments on responsible pet care. This led to the New York State Veterinary Medical Society recognizing her work and presenting her with a Gold Medallion Award in 1990.

Her news reporting also focused on health and social issues, in particular the elderly and problems unique to the aging population.

A Florida State Certified Instructor for the Florida Safety Council, Marci teaches classes which include Drug Alcohol Traffic Awareness and the Victim Awareness Program for DUI/DUI Manslaughter offenders.

Most recently Marci has worked with troubled children and adults in agency and in-school settings, focusing on attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, depression, and anxiety. She utilizes a cognitive-behavioral approach to therapy.
